Ⅲ Background
Bozhou is the famous cultural and historical city and the top tourist city of China. TCM culture is one of the important parts and sign of Chinese civilization. Bozhou is the settled place of Shennongshi, the hometown of the great ancient doctor---Huatuo, and also the source of herb planting.
Now there are 660,000,000 m² herb-planting fields and there are 171 subjects including 410 kinds with 50 kinds of which have been planted in a large scale. The China (Bozhou) TCM exchanger center, one of the largest TCM trade Market, is well known as the top of four TCM capitals. GMP proved over 40 TCM factories and over a million people have been engaged on TCM industry. System for Traditional medical study and teaching has been well developed. All those have provided strong supports of industry and culture for this project. Health is the permanent theme of the pursuit of the tourists in new century. So, to build the project of China (Bozhou) traditional medical culture garden is not only suited the fashion, China industry policy and Bozhou industry plans, but also has many great advantages.
Bozhou is the great excellent doctor---Huatuo’s birthplace. His elevation spirit to save commons and traditional culture of his hometown have been the charming source of which can’t be replaced. According to the statistics, there are 1935 foreign tourists (always over middle-ages tourists with high purchasing power) from Japan, east-south Asia, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, etc. They brought 568700 dollars to Bozhou tourism industry. Over millions of businessmen come here to do medical trade here. In 2004 there are 1,289,100 domestic tourists and total incomings of Bozhou tourism are RMB 571,000,000￥. The main domestic tourist market is Hefei, Nanjing, Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, and other cities of Jingjiu railway and near cities. As Bozhou is developing its special economy and improving the communication, the number of the tourists to seek health here will rise greatly. The project also has a good future.
Ⅳ. Constructing content and scale
The project is designed with the beauty area standard of AAAA class. Covering over 1300000m² fields, it has 7 parts and 20,000m² structure area. Total investment is RMB 190,000,000￥.
1. Tourist center: covering 132000 m² and having 5,000 m² structure area, include: a. gate; b. Bozhou celebrities culture museum (Ancient business museum, celebrities museum, Bozhou history museum, Folk custom museum, industry museum, environment museum, future museum, etc.); c. multifunction hall; d. information hall; e. center hotel; f. special shop. The center has management, reception, information service, common education and other functions, becomes a window to display finger of Bozhou tourism. It needs a total investment sum of RMB20, 000,000￥.
2. Health-caring place: for tourists to live, rest, and dining and enjoying medical-meal, medical-bath, medical drinking, etc; covering 99,000 m² and having 5,000m² building area. Its total sum of investment is RMB 50,000,000￥.
3. TCM culture museum: To display the process of planting, producing, science researching and educating of Bozhou TCM, it is covering 52800 m² and having 5,000m² building area with total investment of RMB15, 000,000￥.
4. Garden of herbs and animals for TCM usage: Covering 660000 m², it is the main scene area to plant TCM herbs and to raise animals for TCM usage.
5. Garden for tourists participating activities and specialists diagnosing and curing: Covering 66,000 m² and 2000 m² building area. It’s a place where tourists can plant, pick, process, learn to identify medicine and do health-caring sports. In it many specialists diagnose and cure the difficult diseases for tourists. It need investment RMB20,000,000￥.
6. China traditional medical culture exhibition hall for playing Wuqinxi(): Covering 99,000 m² and having 2,000 m² building area, it has different rooms for playing and teaching Wuqinxi, Wuqinjian and Wuqinshan, while it is also showing traditional and modern TCM diagnosing and curing methods.
7. Synthetic service area: In the main entrance of the Garden, covering 99000m² and 2000m² building area, the serving equipments for dining, parking, communication, etc, will be set up. A shopping place also will be build to sell native goods, health-caring things, traditional medicines, books and Video information.
