Ⅲ Background

The project is located north to the county and on the north bank of Guo River. It is north to the Wujia River and south to the Dragon Mountain, belongs to the Zhabei town of Guoyang. It’s near the city proper with an excellent communication.

Guoyang County has a long history and is the hometown of Laozi, the great thinker, philosopher, forefather and founder of Taoism. There are many historical relics such as Laojun Temple, Sanqing Temple, Lingguan Temple, Bell Tower and Bass-drum Tower, etc.

To develop the excellent national culture and the tourism industry, according to the plan to develop Taoism Tour in North Anhui by the provincial government, in 2001, Guoyang county government invited the famous Chinese university planning and designing the Homeland Garden of Laozi.  The Garden is designed to explain the connotation of Laozi Culture and to connect with local history culture of folks and cooking. After analyzing carefully, from the point of social developing, the research team would begin from making whole regional culture and deepen the project to ensure the long-term profits of the investor with most possibilities and perseverance.  

As the tourism developing, people will care tourism and leisure time life more and more. Tourism has a wide and bright future. The county government attaches great importance to absorb the investors and makes a series of preferential policies on tax and business management for the investors.

Ⅳ Constructing contents and scale

Garden of Laozi’s hometown covers 13,200㎡and building area 1200 ㎡.

Constructing contents include Laojun Temple, Sanqing Temple, Lingguan Temple, Bell Tower and Bass-drum Tower and other supporting equipment.

Ⅶ Proceeding of the project

Guoyang county government has invested RMB2,000,000￥to levy the earth and build the roads. The oversea Chinese of Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Canada, etc. have been already donated RMB 30,000,000￥ to finish the first and second period engineering.

Ⅸ Brief introduction of the project unit

Bozhou Tourism Bureau, in charge of Bozhou international travel agency, is a department of Bozhou Government. In the bureau there are 4 offices and 17 members including 15 public governors and two workers including 12 bachelors. They mainly engage on developing the city’s tourism, developing the market and administrating the tourism industry. The bureau owns two enterprises, Bozhou international tourist agency and Sanguolansheng Palace. ⅩAnalyze on the social effect and economical profit of the project

According to the development of Bozhou tourism and China economy developing speed, while the project is completed, the number of visitors will reach 180,000-230,000 person-times per year the business incomings will reach RMB 11,000,000￥. In this project there are many real estate programs, so the investors can get back all the investment with a flexible application while the project is completed.

The project will supply 1,000 jobs and will develop industries of communication, restaurants, hotels, entertainment, etc, and run the local economy. It will provide 350jobs recently and will be the head enterprise of Taoism tourism.
